BEST EVER RESULTS ..
2006 saw the City’s best GCSE results ever, and saw improvement at twice the national rate since the elections in 2003. These results are the product of years of hard work from all involved, both City Council staff, parents and pupils.
The last four years have seen major improvements across the board in Education in Nottingham, not least in the physical buildings. By the time the Buildings Schools for the future project is completed Nottingham’s schools will have seen their biggest investment since Victorian times.

New initiatives like Children’s Centres and Sure Start continue to appear across the City and has a massive impact for those children involved, giving them the best possible start for their school careers.
Nottingham Labour are committed to driving up Educational performance in the City, and will continue to put in the passion, determination and the resources to ensure these improvements continue.
