Facelift on Alwyn Road, Aspley
A key issue that has emerged at Labour surgeries in Aspley is the tatty entrance to Broxtowe Country Park, on Alwyn Road. The Labour Councillors are today delighted to announce a face-lift for this area, involving:
- A new “A” frame gate that is both more decorative and more secure.
- A replanting of trees and re-arranging of rocks around the entrance to make it brighter and more welcoming.
- Planting of trees where the entrance runs alongside neighbouring houses. This lessens the chance of these houses being victims of Anti-Social Behaviour or crime.
Cllr Chapman said “I’m delighted that after our perseverance the Council have got around to sorting this site. We will be quick to spot areas that need a lift, quick to rpeort them and hopefully this means they get sorted quickly.”
