Tackling crime and anti-social behaviour together
Your Labour Campaign Team knows that crime and antisocial behaviour is the number one concern in Dales Ward. Over the last few months, Cllr Gul Khan, Ken Williams and David Mellen have talked to over 1200 residents of Sneinton and Bakersfield introducing ourselves as the Labour Team for the May elections and listening to you.

We are pleased that you have noticed:
- reduced crime in the ward (down 5% in Dales since 2003)
- the high profile of street wardens – particularly in Sneinton
- the security cameras placed at local crime hotspots
- police working with residents and other groups to help reduce crime
- new street lights improving the lighting in several areas of the ward
So much has been achieved, but there is still lots to do for residents, police, wardens, local councillors and other agencies working together to tackle crime.
If elected in May, your Labour representatives will;
- work closely with the police and other agencies to cut crime and anti social behaviour
- push for an increased number of wardens so that more areas can be covered by their patrols
- support the seizure and crushing of ‘mini motos’ (150 crushed so far across the city)
- work with Youth projects to provide more activities for young people.
